Sleazy Records / SR10-15

C'mon, let's go for a little bit of Spanih Rockabilly history: it was back in 1987 when Rockin' Pauly (voice and guitar), Be Bop Nando (slap bass) and Paco Beat Borde (drums) joined forces to create a Rockabilly band that, as time went by, became one of the most important and influential in Spanish Rockabilly. Yes, sir.

Not long after the birth of the band, they recorded two songs as a demo and just a few months later they recorded their first record: a mini-LP with 6 songs.

And that's what we get in this 10" just released by Sleazy Records: the the 6 songs of their first official record re-released 28 years later, plus the 2 songs of the demo released for the first time. A blend of Neo-Rockabilly, Teddy Boy Rock'n'Roll and plain Rockabilly that made Rock'n'Bordes one of the favourite bands, or even the favourite one, among a couple of generations of Spanish Rockers.

Let's be clear: this record is a kind of labour of love, a tribute, to Rockin' Pauly, led by Be Bop Nando and Sleazy Records (with more people involved, of course). A record with stunning sound, beautiful sleeve design and that has been released, by the way, in two different vinyl colours: red or white (it is up to the customer to choose which one to buy).

Easy: probably a masterpiece of Spanish Rockabilly. Did I say "probably"? Excuse me: I meant "for sure".
